Flat, grey and unremarkable – that’s what many film shots look like straight out of the camera. This seminar explains why and, in addition to the basics, provides practical knowledge on working creatively with log profiles and look-up tables. How can S-Log be used to capture a wider dynamic range? To what extent can LUTs be used to develop a visual aesthetic whilst filming? The aim is to gain confidence in the professional use of the Sony FX6, as well as an understanding of how to use S-Log and LUTs, so that you can make the most of the camera’s creative potential.
Ulrich Mors is a long-standing cameraman, DoP and editor. He is a Sony Certified Expert, a certified T3 Resolve trainer and a specialist author. Since 2022, he has held a teaching post in film and post-production at the Münster School of Design (MSD, Münster University of Applied Sciences) and runs the RGB lounge colour grading suite.
