Dates: Mon, 21.07. – Fri, 25.07.2025, 10 am – 3 pm
Registration deadline: Sun, 13.07.2025
Target group: children and young people aged 10 to 14 years
Frankenstein, Dracula or the Grinch – they are all monstrous in their own way. In the film workshop, you will explore the otherness of monsters and invent your own fantastic characters. You will stage your characters in short films and bring them to life.
We ask ourselves: What makes a monster? What feelings and images arise in your minds when you see monsters in films? How do we develop an exciting story for our own monsters? And what tools are there to bring them to life and shape their world?
Together we make our thoughts and feelings visible in a creative way by making films. You will learn how to tell a story visually. Over the course of the week, you will develop stories from drawings. You will practise using sound recording equipment, conduct interviews and make masks and backdrops. Together you will make short films, bring your characters to life and discover new perspectives on diversity.
The film created in the seminar will have its premiere at the Schloßtheater as part of the Münster 2025 film festival in September.
