Where can I find suitable archive material for my film project? And how can I make creative use of collection holdings for my research? As part of the Open Doors event, we’re opening the doors to places that often remain hidden from view in the context of cultural work: this time, to the film and photo archive of the LWL-Medienzentrum für Westfalen.
Over coffee, cold drinks and snacks, Dr Ralf Springer and Tobias Flümann will tell you more about the Film and Photo Archive’s remit and how it operates. You’ll gain an insight into how the archive material is stored and learn what needs to be taken into account when making it available to and for use by filmmakers.
