This pocket workshop with Jennifer Mallmannoffers you the chance to discuss application procedures at German film schools. During this online event, you’ll gain an overview of the various film schools and learn what matters most when applying. This includes submitting a portfolio or a film, as well as the subsequent, often multi-stage selection process. Together, you’ll discuss experiences, challenges and opportunities.
Jennifer Mallmann is a documentary filmmaker and writer. She studied documentary film directing at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. Her artistic work focuses on human rights issues and highlighting structural inequality. Her first feature-length documentary, “MORIA SIX”, had its world premiere in 2024 in the German Competition at DOK Leipzig and was screened in selected arthouse cinemas as part of a nationwide cinema tour in 2025. Alongside her film work, she is a member of the documentary film network LaDOC.
