Video documentation of two world premieres during the Bachfest Münster 2024 with commentaries on the work
The two documentaries were produced in co-operation with the Filmwerkstatt Münster.
Stefan Heucke wrote “PfingstFeuer ” as a work commissioned by the Münster Bach Festival. The oratorio was premiered on 17 May 2024 in St Paul’s Cathedral in Münster. “PfingstFeuer” is a pastiche of selected choruses and arias by JOHANN SEBASTIAN BACH and STEFAN HEUCKE’s “Kantate vom Feuer” composed for the Bachfest Münster with a libretto by CHRISTIAN LEHNERT.
Stefan Heucke’s “St Mark Passion” was created to a libretto by the poet, theologian and Protestant pastor Christian Lehnert as a commissioned work for the Bachfest 2024 Münster. The “Markus-Passion” was premiered on 20 May 2024 under the direction of Konrad Paul in the Evangelical Apostle Church in Münster.
The Münster Bach Festival took place once in 2024 as the 98th Bach Festival of the Neue Bachgesellschaft. It was held under the motto “Bach inspires”.
