The dance theatre project was realised by Momentos World Münster and in collaboration with Filmwerkstatt Münster, Musikhochschule Münster, Kreativ-Haus, Studiobühne and Black Coffee Films.
In his dance theatre pieces, choreographer Vinicius focuses on the moments that shape, connect and change us. In a world where differences often seem greater than similarities, the skin reminds us that the essence of all of us is the same: a living, breathing expression of our uniqueness and diversity. The skin is our first shell, our deepest archive of experience. It tells stories of closeness and distance, of memory and of change. But it is not the only layer that shapes our lives. We also wear clothes that create identity, we live in spaces that shape us, move in a society that challenges us, leave traces in the environment that sustains us and surround ourselves with technology that changes our existence. When something gets under our skin, the experience becomes a language – a language of feelings, stories, movements and sounds. A language that cannot be put into words, but must be experienced. Momentos is a journey into this essence, a dance with that which envelops us, shapes us and touches us at our core.
The film workshop shot and designed video recordings during the rehearsals for the performance, which were then projected onto the screen during the performance.
