Haus Kummerveldt is a historical dramedy about female emancipation in the German Empire of the 19th century, which thematically goes beyond the historical setting and skilfully ties in with contemporary discourse. As an original web series with a modern punk-pop design and black humour, Haus Kummerveldt is great fun. The main character Luise is inspired by the lives and works of numerous national and international women writers of the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries, such as Annette von Droste-Hülshoff, Luise Büchner, Else Lasker-Schüler and Mary Shelley.
