Gelbe Karten & Lila Latzhosen is a five-part interview series about the history of an autonomous women’s group in the small town of Borken in Westphalia. In each video, a young person from the region interviews one of the older activists about an object connected to the group’s history.
How did the group with yellow cards protest for equality in the 1980s? What does a film projector tell us about gender identities? Why are purple dungarees a symbol of feminism? What does a doorknob have to do with safe spaces? And what special challenges do activists face in the countryside?
