Documentary film narrative that spins an associative collage of seascapes, places and people from a trip to Cuxhaven on the North Sea. The unobtrusive and calm camera captures contemplative impressions and gives the people portrayed, including a former ocean pianist, a photographer documenting the ageing of her grandfather and the leader of a dance group, plenty of time for reflection. In doing so, the film repeatedly picks up on the closeness and affection for the sea and sometimes takes on almost poetic traits in its melancholy mood.(Filmdienst.de)
