The play “Rabenbunt und kunterschwarz – Wie die Raben schwarz wurden” (Raven-coloured and kunterschwarz – How the ravens turned black), which had been in rehearsal since the beginning of 2020, could only be rehearsed to a limited extent due to the coronavirus pandemic and the planned premiere date was repeatedly postponed. Finally, the theatre group decided to make a film about their theatre project. Donations were collected for the production.
Co-operation between the Diakonie Münster’s curative education day group West, the Kreativ-Haus Münster and the Filmwerkstatt Münster
It is the seventh major theatre production with children and young people from the curative education day group at Diakonie Münster – this time in cooperation with the youth art school at the Kreativ-Haus.
The “Bühnenflitzer” theatre project at Diakonie Münster’s curative education day centres has been developing its own plays very successfully on a regular basis since 2010. Around 15 children up to the age of twelve take part in this theatre project. A professional theatre teacher helps the children to achieve their goal and was also a companion for Plan B: the creation of the film. Because if the children can’t go on stage, they can go on screen or on the cinema screen.
Accompanied by the Filmwerkstatt Münster, the Bühnenflitzer*innen showed their play as a film in front of a large audience. The project was a cooperation with the Jugendkunstschule im Kreativ-Haus e.V., run by Detlef Heidkamp, and the Heilpädagogische Tagesgruppe West of the Diakonie Münster, run by Britta Blum – as well as the film team led by Steffi Köhler
