SHORT FILMS from 75 years at filmclub münster | 21 December

On Short Film Day – the shortest day of the year – eight short films from 75 years of filmclub münster will be screened at the Westfällischer Kunstverein!

Short films from 75 years at filmclub münster, film programme with moderation, duration approx. 90 min.

To mark the end of the anniversary year at filmclub münster and to coincide with Short Film Day on 21 December (the shortest day of the year), filmclub münster is showing eight short films from 75 years ago. They span an arc from the 1950s to the present day. The programme promises films from different perspectives, times, genres and on different topics. It mixes the typical with the special. For example, a Yugoslavian short film from the 1950s tells a detective story with unique animations, while a documentary short film from the 1970s provides a special view of the situation of labour migrants at the time. A film by Bjørn Melhus enriches the selection with an experimental film and the 2020s round off the programme with a touching social drama that won the German Film Award.
