Following on from the previous three editions of FLURSTÜCKE in 2011, 2015 and 2019, each of which attracted tens of thousands of visitors, four important cultural institutions in Münster have once again joined forces for a public dialogue with the city: Filmwerkstatt Münster, Kunsthalle Münster, Theater im Pumpenhaus and Theater Titanick.
FLURSTÜCKE 2024 runs under the motto “Touch”. Over four days, the festival will bring people into contact with performances that arouse emotions in their very own way, that know no exclusions and appeal to all the senses, as always free of charge and easily accessible. Community experiences become possible, which are needed more urgently than ever in times of growing rifts and hardened fronts.
Two productions will be accompanied by the Filmwerkstatt Münster as part of the curator collective:
DECOLONIAL SHOP
Stefan Demming (D) in collaboration with KMRU (KEN)
Making history visible – that is the aim of this unusual shop, which, as a living archive and spatial installation, invites visitors to engage with colonial heritage. Global and local. An illuminating visual and acoustic search for traces begins, leading directly into the present.

The video installation is about intimacy, consensus and crossing boundaries in the context of the acting profession. In the setting of a PR interview, the rules of an unwritten script are increasingly disregarded. At the same time, the verbal exchange of blows is translated into a physical confrontation. Who is the perpetrator, who is the victim?
