Filming in Münsterland: New episodes of HAUS KUMMERVELDT

“Haus Kummerveldt”, the historical series filmed in Münsterland, continues!

The Filmwerkstatt Münster is co-producer

“Haus Kummerveldt”, the historical series filmed in Münsterland about a rebellious noblewoman played by Milena Straube, is set to continue! Filming for three new episodes began in Zossen at the end of August. After a week in the Brandenburg forests, the remaining filming is currently taking place again in Münsterland at Haus Welbergen, Burg Hülshoff and Haus Rüschhaus.

The series is set at the end of the 19th century and tells the story of the young noblewoman Luise von Kummerveldt, who wants to lead a self-determined life as a writer and constantly comes up against the limits of the conventions of the time. A modern audiovisual look, bright narrative technique and plenty of black humour are the basic ingredients of “Haus Kummerveldt”. The first three episodes already enjoyed great festival success and scored at the Max Ophüls Prize, the First Steps Award and the Munich Series Camp, among others!

The film is once again directed by Mark Lorei from Münsterland, who wrote the screenplay together with author Charlotte Krafft. Lotte Ruf is producing the series with Goldstoff Filme GmbH, co-producers are Tobias ‘Tui’ Lohf and Marc Schießer from Outside The Club, as well as Filmwerkstatt Münster. Other co-producers are WDR and ZDF/Arte. All 6 episodes of the series are expected to be broadcast by WDR in 2023 and will be available in advance in the arte media library.
