Under the title “Borderless” , we are looking for films that deal with border experiences and border crossings, that tell stories of departure and arrival, of loss, hope and belonging, of movements between countries, languages and realities of life. At the same time, we ask: What is possible in cinema, what is not (yet) possible in reality? Which images transcend borders, which overwrite history? Which cinematic forms break conventions – narrative, formal, institutional? Can we make other realities tangible in cinema, design new futures, think utopias?

Send us your documentary, fictional, experimental or hybrid proposals in the form of a maximum of one DIN A4 page as a PDF by 31.10.2025 by email to info@filmwerkstatt-muenster.de for a chance to win a budget for film licences, screening locations and guests.
Your curatorial and organisational work will be remunerated with a lump sum. In the event of collaboration, all parties involved agree to a code of conduct.

You will receive feedback on your submission this year and the selection will be realised in the course of next year.
