filmclub münster / first half of 2026

The programme for the first half of 2026 once again offers a diverse mix full of cinematic art and surprising (re)discoveries.

Under the title #Borderless, we are showing films that deal with border experiences and border crossings, that tell stories of departure and arrival, of loss, hope and belonging, of movements between countries, languages and realities of life. At the same time, we ask: What is possible in cinema, what is not (yet) possible in reality? Which images transcend borders, which overwrite history? Which cinematic forms break conventions – narrative, formal, institutional? Can we make other realities tangible in cinema, design new futures, think utopias?
