with Horst Herz
The practice-orientated workshops provide a comprehensive insight into the professional production of documentary films.
The focus is on:
1. development of participants’ film projects into a project description suitable for submission to film funding organisations and TV editors
2. teaching the different dramaturgies and
3. basic knowledge of financing, producing, camera work, editing, sound design or distribution strategies.
In addition, renowned auteur filmmakers such as Rainer Komers, Brigitte Krause, Pavel Schnabel and Melanie Gärtner share their cinematic concepts as guest lecturers. They report on their working methods, share their experiences and give an insight into the individual style that characterises their films.
