In everyday film and TV work, the director and cast often have little time to work on and rehearse scenes. Also, directors and actors often only know each other briefly and mutual trust has not yet been established.

The seminar will answer the following questions:
- What are useful methods and structures for a good working situation?
- How can actors be invited to give an authentic or interesting performance?
- What can we do if everything goes differently than expected?
In the seminar we will work through all the preparatory steps before a shoot in a practice-orientated way: Scene analysis, reading rehearsal and play rehearsal. The participants will stage scenes together with actors.
The seminar is aimed at filmmakers who already have experience in directing.
